Pateadores tie FC Dallas 2-2; FC Dallas goes on to Win Dallas Cup

The Boys suffered a disappointing tie, after FC Dallas put up a physical fight to even get to tie the Boys. The Boys scored in the first minute, picking off the kickoff, driving to goal, and finding Armand on the far post. Dallas tied it up, but the Boys picked up a pk when Brian P. was mauled in the box following a counter-attack. Dallas tied it up in the second half, and knowing that it only needed a tie to progress, packed in the defense. Despite numerous chances, the Boys could not finish to carry the day. Only one other team in Dallas Cup scored a goal against Dallas, and the Boys put in 2.

Pats settle down to win second game in Dallas Cup -- Pateadores 7, Alberta, Canada 0

The Boys settled into their rhythm to beat Alberta, Canada 7-0 this afternoon at Richland College. This win, combined with Houston Dynamo losing 4-1 to FC Dallas this afternoon, makes Wednesday's games a showdown for this bracket.

Pats drop Tournament Opener 3-0 to Houston Dynamo

The Boys started the game strongly, controlling possession against the wind and creating opportunities. But the trifecta of adversity derailed the Boys' game following Houston ramping up their late tackles and yellow card count -- a great Pats goal called back on a questionable offside call, a yellow card for retaliation near Houston's bench, and giving up a penalty kick. The Boys pressed the entire second half, but never really found their rhythm again. They face Alberta, Canada in Game #2 at Richland College.
